Marc Broussard at Brooklyn Arts Center
September 23, 2014 at 7:30PM
Marc Broussard is an artist with a unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock and soul into contemporary terms. This gift has been a matter of common knowledge since 2002, when Broussard released his debut album, Momentary Setback, which he recorded and released independently at age 20. It was no secret before then, going back to those lucky witnesses who heard him belt "Johnny B. Goode" onstage at age 5 while sitting in with his father's band. Throughout his life, Broussard has been tapped as a talent to watch. Get your tickets today to see Marc Broussard live at BAC.
Discovering Drayton Hall with George McDaniel at Bellamy Mansion
September 25, 2014 from 6:30 - 8:30PM
Executive Director George Mcdaniel is our guest for a lecture on one of the east coast's premier historic sites. This lecture promises to be enlightening on house museums in general and one unique site in particular. Drayton Hall is different. It’s the real thing, and we are bound by our mission to preserve the property—that is, to keep it in near-original condition just as the National Trust received it from the Drayton family in 1974. Instead of being restored to the vision of those who lived centuries after it was built, Drayton Hall is an artifact that has survived the American Revolution, the Civil War, the earthquake of 1886, hurricanes like Hugo, and maybe most surprisingly today, urban sprawl. Join us at Bellamy Mansion for this exciting event. Call 910-251-3700 for more information.

During the fishing hours, participants will be competing for six of the area’s most popular surf targets with a leaderboard paying five places each for speckled trout, flounder, bluefish, pompano, black drum, and sea mullet.
